Bogdan Mihailescu, at the age of 24, is already invited to several festivals around the world, in France, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Australia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico where he gives concerts and masterclasses.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Bogdan Mihailescu started playing guitar at the age of 10. At the age of 17, he played the Concerto in C major by Antonio Vivaldi with the National Radio Orchestra of Bucharest at the “Mihail Jora” concert hall, in front of a full audience.

After finishing his studies at the “George Enescu” Music School in the class of Liviu Georgescu, Bogdan moves to Paris to study with Judicael Perroy at the Regional Conservatory of Aulnay sous Bois.

In 2011 he receives the highest rank in the entrance competition to the National Superior Conservatory of Paris (CNSMDP), where he studies with Olivier Chassain and Laurent Blanquart.At the moment he is a student of Judicael Perroy at Conservatoire a rayonnement regional d'Aubervilliers.

Bogdan is the winner of multiple prizes such as:

  • 1st prize, International Competition “Jose Tomas” in Spain.

  • 1st prize and audience prize, International Competition  of Adelaide in Australia.

  • 1st prize, International Competition “Terra Siculorum” in Romania.
  • 1st prize, International Competition of Sinaia in Romania.
  • 1st prize, International Competition of Iasi in Romania.
  • 2nd prize, “Spring Music”  International Competition in Portugal.
  • 3nd prize, “Andres Segovia”  International Competition in Germany.

Inspired by the other instruments, he transcribed pieces like the Nocturne op 9 no 2 by Chopin or the three movements of the Italian Concerto by Bach.

He is a sposored guitarist of Savarez strings and he plays a Jim Redgate guitar.
